I really have lost all sense of direction.

This post is pointless but I have no one to talk to. I've prayed for EVER about this and I have lost all kind of direction. Everyone around me is doing great. Me, not at all. Broke. Can't go to ATL. On the 4th, I'll be homeless yet again. And to top it off, I'm alone. I'll go jump off a building now.

Where is the Loyalty?

To some this might be funny, and I'd totally understand that. But while growing up in San Antonio, Chuck E. Cheese was often the highlight of my weekends. After I got over the big rat scaring the heck out of me, I learned to love him. I even danced with him once. But now, they done gave him the boot.

According to recent news coverage, CEC Entertainment was been struggling in sales and they thought the best way to revive themselves would be through the makeover of their mascot. The revamped version is a "hip, electric guitar playing rockstar." Now maybe, I'm over exaggerating but I'm not understanding the connection between a new mouse and the revival of sales. I'm no salesperson, but I am majoring in Public Relations. Wouldn't new interactive games, electronics, and better prizes make more sense? There were plenty of other options.

*sigh* Bye, Old Chuck E.

The Untold Story of Independence

Patriotism, freedom, and independence are all synonymous with the birth of our Nation over 200 years ago. Today as many people will go about celebrating this holiday for all those reasons, there are others who are telling a different story.

Their story isn't one that gets told as much, but it's just as important to the nation.

Hip-Hop Needs TDE

With all the ridiculous "beef" going on right now in the music world, illustrated most currently by Chris Brown vs Drake/Meek Mill or Shy Glizzy vs Chief Keef, we often see the negative trickle into the world of social media.

At this age and point in our lives we spend quite a large amount of our time on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc. even if we have to admit it. So when the music beef becomes twitter beef, we have no choice but to let it catch our attention. But what about the good? No one ever really pays attention to it, so I'm making it my job to do that for you. Today TDE's very own hip-hop artists Ab-Soul and Kendrick Lamar were making some extremely valid points via twitter.

Being a TDE fan myself, what I most appreciate is their raw honesty. They don't care who opposes their views, they say what they feel needs to be heard and you can't do anything but respect that.

Whether we agree or not, it's not my job on here to force an opinion on you or judge what you do in your free time, but it is my place to bring you relevant news and make you think a little more on the intricate side of things. So I pose the question; After looking into the thoughts of artists such as Kendrick Lamar and Ab-Soul, what do you think?

Reciprocate The Good

It's technically Monday, but whatever.

I don't believe people to be innately bad. In fact, like Frank Ocean, I believe that we all try. Of course we try for different things, but all in all our intentions are good. But just like anything negative, we can also get caught up in the positive. We can find ourselves focusing so much on having good intentions and doing good things that we can forget what's most important; ourselves. To act selfless is to act humbly, which is always good but selfishness can be just as healthy and fulfilling. As much as we want to do good unto others, we have to make sure that want the same for ourselves.

Try not to get so caught up in your current situation that you forget that your situation is you.

When you're down, you have to invest your time into things that bring you up. When you can't really get into the rhythm of things, play your favorite song. When you can't seem to escape reality, live the lives of others through your favorite movie or book. And it goes without saying that when you're low, I want nothing more than for you to get high.

Peace & Love,

Happiness ~ Consequence

"Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it, you must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it." - Phoebe Rudomino

You ever wonder...

You ever wonder if you can really get comfortable?
I mean we all want love. The feeling where someone just gets us and it's effortless.
And we can find that because it's real, it's adventurous, and it's honest...
But....
but....
but....
When you find it, how do you keep it?
No one ever really talks about that part.
You hear it's hard and it takes patience and it isn't easy... but there's got to be more to the story.
Right?
How you tell the person that you never want to leave that they're scaring you?
How do you communicate "don't take my kindness for weans" to someone without sounding like....
an overly used, cliche`?
When is too much time spent?
What if you don't like their friends?
What if they don't like yours?
They say pride doesn't exist in relationships, or at least it shouldn't.
But before that person existed... pride was all you had.
You're grown now... do you let go of everything you've ever known?
You've been broken before,
and you went crazy.
So in order to keep a tight grip on your sanity,
certain things need to be held on to.. like pride.. and a sense of reality.
Right?
You're a dreamer,
you've dreamt your whole life about finding him..
you've got him now though.
So what happens next?
Yeah, I don't know either... that was always when my alarm went off.
